The meeting served as a platform to assess recent progress and align on next steps in Ukraine\u2019s digital transformation journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session opened with welcoming remarks from&nbsp;<strong>Asier Santill\u00e1n Luzuriaga<\/strong>, Head of Section \u201cGood Governance and Rule of Law\u201d at the EU Delegation to Ukraine, and&nbsp;<strong>Valeriya Ionan<\/strong>, Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister \u2014 Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine on Innovations, Digitalisation and Global Partnerships. Both speakers underlined the importance of strong EU\u2013Ukraine cooperation in building digital resilience and citizen-oriented e-governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThe European Union remains firmly committed to standing with Ukraine during these challenging times of full-scale war. By working hand in hand with Ukraine, we aim to strengthen its digital infrastructure, safeguard its critical information resources, and protect the well-being of its citizens. Together, we will continue to build a secure and resilient digital future for Ukraine and the European Union,\u201d said&nbsp;<strong>Mr Asier Santill\u00e1n Luzuriaga<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cFor nearly six years, the Ministry of Digital Transformation has been building the most convenient digital state in the world. This is not just about digitalizing services \u2014 it\u2019s about rethinking the role of government itself. A modern state must be innovative, human-centered, and open to partnership. At the heart of every transformation are our citizens. Together with our trusted partners \u2014 the FIAP team and with the support of the European Union \u2014 we are driving systemic change, even amid the full-scale war. As part of the EU4DigitalUA project, we are implementing technological solutions that improve quality of life: from e-services and digital education to more effective governance and legislation aligned with European standards. Already, millions of Ukrainians are using services created within this cooperation. Our work with FIAP and the EU is a clear example of effective and mutually reinforcing partnership \u2014 as Ukraine\u2019s digital transformation also contributes to strengthening Europe through experience, speed, and innovation. Together, we continue working toward a shared future \u2014 strong, digital, and European,\u201d noted&nbsp;<strong>Valeriya Ionan<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EU4DigitalUA team, led by Project Coordinator for Ukraine Miguel \u00c1ngel Lombardo Chico, presented the main results achieved in recent months across three key components:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cInstitutional Strengthening\u201d Component: shared the latest progress in capacity building and institutional support for public digital transformation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cCommunication and Public Awareness\u201d Component: presented strategies and outcomes aimed at boosting digital literacy and public engagement with digital services in Ukraine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cData Protection\u201d Component: outlined efforts to enhance data protection frameworks in Ukraine, aligning with EU standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ongoing visibility initiatives aimed at showcasing the impact of the EU4DigitalUA project to a broader audience were also presented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe are not just delivering digital tools \u2014 we are helping Ukraine implement practical solutions that directly impact citizens\u2019 lives. From launching the e-Permit system to developing AI training for civil servants and aligning legislation with EU digital standards, each step we take under EU4DigitalUA strengthens Ukraine\u2019s ability to offer modern, transparent, and secure public services,\u201d said&nbsp;<strong>Miguel \u00c1ngel Lombardo Chico<\/strong>, Project Coordinator for EU4DigitalUA from FIAP.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the key achievements presented:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; The project is actively promoting digital services, launching numerous communications campaigns, and increasing trust in government systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Legislative harmonisation is advancing in crucial areas such as artificial intelligence, GDPR, and semiconductors \u2014 bringing Ukraine closer to the EU digital ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; The project regularly organises study visits, online and offline events, and trainings for civil servants and key stakeholders for knowledge exchange and sharing best practices in priority sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Digital education initiatives are expanding: an AI-focused training programme for civil servants based on the CDTO Campus was launched, a new course on data protection will soon be released on the Diia.Osvita platform, and the IT Studios programme \u2014 an interactive IT curriculum for schools \u2014 is planned to be updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All participants reaffirmed their shared commitment to building a digital Ukraine \u2014 resilient, secure, and aligned with European values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The EU4DigitalUA project is funded by the European Union and implemented by FIAP within the components &#8220;Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Development&#8221;, &#8220;Communication and Public Awareness&#8221; and &#8220;Data Protection&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On June 19, the EU4DigitalUA project held its 9th Steering Committee Meeting, bringing together key stakeholders from the European Union, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, and the FIAP project team to review project progress and outline next steps.
