Approximation of Ukraine’s e-ID infrastructure to the EU standards

The approximation of Ukraine’s electronic identification infrastructure to European Union standards has become even more topical since Ukraine has become an EU candidate state. Therefore, the main objective of the project in this area is to ensure full technical readiness for digital European integration.

the project team provides expert and technical support, as well as equipment for the creation of an eIDAS node. This will allow for the electronic identification of Ukrainians in the EU and EU citizens in Ukraine. It should also allow Ukrainians abroad to access European public or private e-services.

DT4UA experts support the interoperability of Ukrainian qualified electronic signatures in the EU. To this end, the Trust List in Ukraine was updated and integrated with the EU Trust List for non-EU countries. In addition, international crypto algorithms are being implemented in national solutions for creating and verifying signatures in Ukraine.

The project team also provides expert support for the development of a digital identity wallet that will be compatible with EU standards
