Mykhailo Kornieiev

Mykhailo Kornieiev is a data and services expert at e-Governance Academy. He is an international lawyer and expert in information technology, digital transformation, and computer science.

Since 2018, Mykhailo has been working in different positions in Ukraine’s e-governance sector. He has been in charge of the implementation of digital transformation projects, e.g., electronic service and electronic democracy instruments.

Since 2020, he has been responsible for open data development in Ukraine. During this period, Ukraine became the first Eastern Partnership country to join the European Open Data Maturity Assessment. It rose from the 17th place in the overall rating in 2020 to the 2nd place in 2022.

He is the author and co-author of studies on the anti-corruption, economic and social impact of open data and the author of educational programs and training courses on open data.
