EU4DigitalUA presented at International Cybersecurity Conference in Madrid

The EU4DigitalUA project was presented at the conference that gathered over 7,000 professionals from 30 countries at the 18th STIC CCN-CERT Conference | 6th ESPDEF-CERT Cyberdefense Conference, held from November 26-28, 2024, in Madrid. Organised by the National Cryptologic Center (CCN), the National Intelligence Center (CNI), the Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE), and RootedCON, the conference focused on the theme, “Active Cyber Defense for a Digital World.”

The event served as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration on cybersecurity topics. Over three days, more than 150 speakers addressed current cybersecurity challenges and strategies. The opening ceremony was attended by high-level officials, including the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, and the Secretary of State and Director of the National Intelligence Center (CNI), Esperanza Casteleiro.

As part of the conference, Manuel Yubero, Project Manager at FIIAPP, and María Gastón Betrán, FIIAPP Institutional Technical Coordinator of EU4DigitalUA, delivered a presentation titled, “Strengthening Global Cybersecurity: The Strategic Collaboration between FIIAPP and CCN in International Projects.” The presentation outlined the objectives of the EU4DigitalUA project and FIIAPP’s role in fostering international partnerships in cybersecurity in different countries, with a particular focus on Ukraine.

“The FIIAPP is committed to promoting international cooperation by engaging Spanish public administrations in global projects. Through the exchange of best practices and deployment of technical expertise, FIIAPP builds institutional partnerships and contributes to sustained collaboration with public institutions in partner countries,” stated María Gastón Betrán, FIIAPP Institutional Technical Coordinator of EU4DigitalUA.

The event not only highlighted EU4DigitalUA’s contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s digital landscape but also reinforced the importance of international cooperation in addressing global digital cybersecurity challenges.
